Cosner begins 2023 season at Bubba Raceway Park
The 2023 season came to life for Matt Cosner on Sunday afternoon with a visit to Bubba Raceway Park (Ocala, Fla.) for the doubleheader event with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS).
Drawing 39 entries for the BRP Winter Nationals, Cosner followed up the 18th-fastest qualifying effort in his time trial group with a seventh-place showing in his heat race. Needing to place third or better in his consolation race to make the feature, Matt fell short with a fifth-place finish.
For another $10,000-to-win program on Monday, Matt raced his way into the main event with a fifth-to-third run in his heat race. Fading outside the top-10 in the 40-lap affair, Cosner recorded an 18th-place outing.
