Cosner follows LOLMDS to Florence for North/South weekend

On Thursday afternoon, Matt Cosner picked back up with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) at Florence Speedway (Union, Ky.) for the Sunoco North-South Shootout. With 46 Late Models entered for the $10,000-to-win preliminary feature, Cosner posted an eighth-place finish in his heat, transferring him into the B-Main. For a pair of heat races on Friday afternoon, Matt followed up an eighth-place finish in his first round with a runner-up finish in his second heat.

With passing points relegating him into the B-Main on Saturday, Cosner came in seventh, forcing him to rely on a provisional into the $50,000-to-win North/South 100. Starting in 25th, Matt was an early retiree from the 100-lapper on lap 65.
