Matt Cosner drives to 12th in Pittsburgher at PPMS
Matt Cosner returned to action over the weekend at Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Motor Speedway, piloting his R.H. Lapp Mechanical Contractors No. 66c Late Model as the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series rolled into town for the 37th annual Pittsburgher.
Cosner narrowly missed a transfer spot in Friday’s preliminary action, coming up one position short with a fourth-place finish in his consolation race.
The Ridgeley, West Virginia native bounced back on Saturday, grabbing the fourth and final transfer spot in his heat race to lock into the $50,000-to-win Pittsburgher main event. Lining up on the eighth row, Cosner steadily worked his way forward during the 70-lap feature, advancing three spots to finish 12th in a strong outing against a stacked field.
