Matt Cosner begins 2025 season at Port Royal Speedway

Steering clear of Mother Nature, Matt Cosner’s 2025 season officially kicked off over the weekend with Saturday’s event at Port Royal Speedway (Port Royal, Pa.) aboard his R.H. Lapp Mechanical Contractors No. 66c Late Model.

After mechanical issues forced an early exit from his heat race, Cosner mounted a strong comeback in his B-Main, advancing five positions to finish fifth. Starting the $4,000-to-win feature in 23rd, Matt improved seven spots in the 25-lap affair to place 16th.

However, Sunday’s unfavorable weather forecast at Bedford Speedway in Bedford, Pennsylvania, cut his weekend short.
