Cosner climbs to second in Hagerstown's Frank Sagi Tribute
While his son competed at the Hagerstown Quarter Midget Association (HQMA), Matt Cosner kicked off his own weekend at nearby Hagerstown Speedway, taking part in Saturday’s Frank Sagi Tribute.
With 37 Super Late Models on the grounds, Cosner started his night strong by earning overall fast time honors, which came with a $200 bonus. He followed that up by winning his heat race, outrunning fellow front-row starter Kyle Lee in the eight-lap sprint.
Rolling off fourth in the $5,000-to-win A-Main, Cosner advanced two positions over the 35-lap distance to notch a solid second-place finish, joining race winner Gregg Satterlee and third-place finisher Trever Feathers on the podium.
