Cosner enjoys strong Labor Day weekend

After serving as Josh Richards’ crew chief on Friday during his return to racing, Matt Cosner climbed back behind the wheel of his Nelson Auto Sales No. 66c Late Model on Saturday at Port Royal Speedway for the Butch Renninger Memorial.

Cosner punched his ticket into the $7,333-to-win A-Main with a heat race victory, then led the opening 22 laps of the feature before ultimately finishing second. He joined winner Gregg Satterlee and third-place finisher Rick Eckert on the podium.

Wrapping up his Labor Day weekend on Sunday, Cosner entered the Paul Long Memorial at Selinsgrove Speedway, where he advanced from seventh to fourth in the 35-lap finale.
